The BRHS is not legally able to take in stray animals. All strays within city limits must be brought to Brookings Animal Control. If you have found or lost a pet, please contact Brookings Animal Control by calling 605-691-0201.

If you have a lost/found animal to report, please email the BRHS and include any information that may helpful for finding/returning the animal (type of animal, approx. age, gender, colour and any identifying markings, any forms of id such as a collar or tags, etc. - pictures are also welcome).

LOST:
"Pearly" - White Cat.
Got out near either Flandreau or Watertown. Pearly is a neutered male, about 10 months old.
Please contact the BRHS with any information regarding the whereabouts of Pearly!

LOST:

"Max" and "Emma" - Golden/Brown German Shepherd Mix (Max) and a Yellow Lab (Emma).
Missing near Gary, SD. Max is a neutered male, just a couple of years old, Emma is a spayed female, about 8 years old. Neither were wearing collars when they got lost but Max is Microchipped.
Please contact the BRHS with any information regarding the whereabouts of Max or Emma!

LOST:

"Hunter" - Domestic Medium-Hair Cat. Black fur with white nose and white paws. Last seen near Camelot School in Brookings on January 5th.
