"I'm looking for someone to love..." and Buddy Holly is hoping that someone is you!

At 7.5 years old and 63 pounds, Buddy Holly is a handsome, neutered gentleman who is medically up to date and ready to find his forever home. Friendly, affectionate, and always happy to meet new people, Buddy knows how to sit and shake and loves spending time with his favorite humans.

Buddy is active and playful, but he also has an independent side. Whether it's a walk, a game, or just hanging out together, he's happiest when he's part of the fun.

Fireworks and thunderstorms aren't his thing, so he'll appreciate a safe, quiet place when the weather gets loud.

Buddy has lived as the only pet, so we're unsure how he would do with other dogs or cats. We know he's been around children, but we don't have enough information to say how he does with them. A meet-and-greet can help determine if he's the right fit for your family.

Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
