Meet Kennebec Potato, better known as Ken.

Ken is a 2-year-old, 44-lb white Husky mix with a big personality and even bigger energy to match. True to his Husky roots, he’s an active, curious guy who loves staying busy and would thrive with an adopter ready to keep him both physically and mentally engaged.

Ken is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and already knows the command “sit.” He’s very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and learning new skills. He’s a smart boy who enjoys working for tasty rewards!

Because of his energy level, Ken would do best in a home with older kids who can help channel his enthusiasm in a positive way. With the right introduction and match, he may do okay with another dog, especially one that can keep up with his playful style.

If you’re looking for an adventurous, fun-loving companion who’s ready to learn and go places with you, Kennebec Potato might just be the perfect fit. Come meet Ken and see if he’s your spud-tacular match!

Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.

Call or e-mail us today for more information about adopting me!
