Lefse is a lovely brown tabby with a gentle soul who just needs a little time and patience to feel safe. She isn’t the biggest fan of change and can take a while to warm up to new people and places, but once she trusts you, her sweet personality shines through. She’s the kind of companion who will quietly observe before stepping forward for affection, and when she does, it feels extra special.

During her first stay at the shelter, Lefse was part of our Cat Positive program, where she showed off just how smart and capable she is—she even learned to walk right into a carrier on her own! With her thoughtful nature and quiet determination, Lefse will make a wonderful friend for someone who appreciates a cat who moves at her own pace and blossoms beautifully with a little understanding.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
