Rapunzel is a lovely gray tabby with a soft, gentle presence and a name that suits her perfectly—she’s the kind of cat who quietly waits for her safe place, then lets her true self shine. At 1.5 years old and 9.4 pounds, she’s grown out of the busy kitten stage and settled into a calm, sweet companion. She is spayed and up to date on all medical care.

She thrives in a peaceful, low-stress home where she can feel secure and understood. Rapunzel would do best as the only cat, allowing her to fully relax and enjoy her space without added stress. Give her a little time and patience, and she’ll reward you with gentle affection, soft purrs, and a comforting presence that feels like she’s always been part of your world.

Rapunzel does have FIC (Feline Idiopathic Cystitis), so maintaining a calm, consistent environment is key to helping her feel her best. With the right home, she can live a happy, cozy life where she feels safe and cared for.

She’s ready for her own “tower”—a quiet home where she can settle in, unwind, and finally let her story have the happy ending it deserves.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

We highly recommend calling or e-mailing ahead for adoptions and services to ensure that the animal you're interested in adopting is available and at the shelter. Many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes off site.

We are a limited admission shelter. You must call/e-mail in advance to set up an owner surrender to ensure we have intake space to provide appropriate care.
