Position: The Brookings Regional Humane Society (BRHS) is seeking a dynamic, outgoing and 
self-motivated individual to join our team as The Development & Marketing Director
(D&M Director).
BRHS, located in Brookings, SD, shelters, comforts, and cares for stray, abandoned
and surrendered pets. Our mission is to improve the lives of companion animals and 
support those who care for them.
The D&M Director will immediately be responsible for spearheading our capital 
campaign fundraising efforts for a new facility over the next five years. The ideal 
candidate will have at least two years of development experience and have 
demonstrated ability to secure lead and major gifts. A passion for animal welfare and a 
commitment to advancing the mission of BRHS are essential. Previous capital 
campaign experience is a plus.
The D&M Director will be expected to devote at least 70% of their time to Capital 
Campaign, Development and Fundraising activities and approximately 30% to 
Marketing activities. The D&M Director will work remotely, have a flexible work 
schedule, and must be willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
