Position: Animal Care Tech– Mornings, 9-12 hours/week, E/O weekend, E/O holiday, 8am-11am (varies depending on animals in care)

Job Description: As a Morning Animal Care Tech at BRHS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care. This caregiving position is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for our shelter animals. Your dedication will directly contribute to their happiness and health.

Responsibilities: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all animal living areas, including kennels, cages, and litterboxes. Provide fresh food and water to all animals according to their dietary needs and schedules. Administer medications to animals as directed. Ensure animals receive regular walks and engage in activities to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Observe and report any signs of illness, distress, or unusual behavior to the appropriate staff. Work closely with fellow team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements: Our Animal Care Techs work with all animals – from the smallest hamster to the largest dogs – so comfort with all companion animals is a must. Must be over 18, be reliable, and able to work weekends/rotating holidays. Must be able to lift 50#. Must be comfortable walking large dogs.
